With the application of steel structure buildings and the development of the industry, the requirements for the corrosion resistance of steel structures are increasingly high, and the processing of steel structure shot blasting machines has received more and more attention. During long-term storage, scale, rust, oil, and other impurities usually exist on cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel structures and steel surfaces, which must be removed by shot blasting machines before painting.

After good shot blasting pretreatment, the surface can ensure better adhesion between the paint and the steel surface, and the steel structure can be protected for a long time. Shot blasting pretreatment can increase surface roughness, enhancing the contact area and adhesion between the paint and the steel structure. A steel structure shot blasting machine is a device that cleans the surface of steel workpieces by projecting shot at high speed through centrifugal force. Unlike sandblasting, shot blasting machines are not driven by compressed air but by a shot projection device connected to an electric motor.



Steel structure shot blasting machines can clean various residues on the surface of metal workpieces and can also be used for steel plates, steel structures, and sheet metal welded workpieces. Through the high-speed rotation of the impeller, the abrasive at the center of the impeller can be pre-accelerated by the pill wheel and impeller propeller. After being supplied to the blades, the high-speed projection speed can exceed 80 m/s. Due to its wide application range and no need for air pressure, its energy efficiency is much higher than that of sandblasting. The impeller is the "heart" of the shot blasting machine, directly or indirectly driven by an electric motor. The accessories are uniquely designed by shot blasting machine manufacturers, mainly divided into single-plate and double-plate impellers. The process is not limited by the size, shape, or weight of the workpiece after cleaning.

In form, steel structure shot blasting machines use mechanical methods to project high-speed and long-distance projections on the surface of parts, collectively referred to as shot blasting cleaning. These include throwing shots into castings with sand to remove visible sand and core guards; throwing shots into cast, forged, welded, and heat-treated parts to clean surfaces such as black skin, condensation, oxide films, and rust spots; and throwing shots onto the surfaces of steel and various profiles for pretreatment.

They can also remove stress from variable stress components such as springs, leaf springs, and gears to improve surface fatigue strength, and strengthen the surface shot blasting of aluminum parts and stainless steel tableware. However, in terms of process classification, shot blasting cleaning is limited to a type of shot blasting process used to remove contaminants from cast, forged, welded, and heat-treated parts. In general, the principle of steel structure shot blasting machines is that high-speed projectiles hit the surface of parts, causing local deformation and generating roughness marks.
