The shot blasting cleaning process refers to the processing technology of performing surface shot blasting derusting on steel materials before processing (i.e., in the raw material state) and applying a protective primer. The use of this technology has two obvious advantages:

During operation, the abrasive enters the center of the blasting head through the feed inlet. In the center of the blasting head, there is a pill distributor that rotates together with the blasting head. There is a directional sleeve outside the pill distributor. The pill distributor sends the abrasive to one end of the blade close to the center of the blasting head through the opening on the directional sleeve. Due to centrifugal force, the abrasive particles accelerate along the length of the blade until they reach the top of the blade and hit the surface of the workpiece at a high speed.
The function of the pill distributor is to correctly "feed" the abrasive to the blade according to certain requirements. Once the opening of the pill distributor is severely worn, the abrasive will hit the end of the blade, causing abnormal wear of the blade by shot blasting machine manufacturers, and the divergent flow of the abrasive will become irregular. Therefore, according to the requirements of the instruction manual, regularly check the wear of the pill distributor and replace the severely worn pill distributor in time.
The position of the opening of the directional sleeve determines the position where the abrasive is fed to the blade by the pill distributor. The shape of the opening on the directional sleeve will affect the divergent shape of the abrasive and the size of the hot zone. The so-called hot zone is an area where the abrasive is relatively concentrated on the abrasive divergent surface, which is caused by the uneven distribution of the abrasive on the blade. The positioning of the adjustable directional sleeve can be appropriately adjusted according to the wear of the opening to ensure that the blasting head works in a good operating state. The blades in the blasting head are in direct contact with the abrasive, and their quality is closely related to the performance of the blasting head.
The wear resistance of the blade directly determines the service life of the blade and the operating cost of the shot blasting machine. Therefore, the blasting head blade should be made of high wear-resistant materials. In addition to the material of the blade, the wear resistance of the blade is also closely related to the working conditions of the shot blasting machine. For example, if there is 1% sand in the abrasive, the service life of the blade will be shortened by 80%. Some people say that the service life of the separation device determines the service life of the shot blasting machine, which is not an exaggeration.
To install the shot blasting cleaning machine, the installation method is as follows:
- Positioning the main machine of the shot blasting cleaning machine: When positioning the main machine, its levelness and weight must meet the requirements of the drawings.
- Install the shot blasting cleaning machine by components: Proceed from bottom to top.
